Orifice meter

An orifice meter is a device used to measure the flow rate of liquids or gases in a pipe. It consists of a thin plate with a precisely drilled hole (orifice) placed within the pipe. As fluid passes through the orifice, its velocity increases and pressure decreases. By measuring the pressure difference across the orifice, and knowing certain fluid properties, technicians can accurately calculate the flow rate.
