Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT)
The Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) is an independent body that reviews decisions made by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). If a worker disagrees with a WSIB decision regarding benefits or safety claims, they can appeal to WSIAT. The tribunal listens to both sides, examines evidence, and makes binding rulings. Its primary role is to ensure fairness and justice in the workers' compensation system, helping injured workers receive the appropriate support and compensation they deserve.
