Omar al-Mokhtar was a Libyan resistance leader who fought against Italian colonization during the early 20th century. Known as the "Libyan Robin Hood," he organized and led guerrilla warfare to defend Libyan lands and people. His strategic resistance aimed to protect Libyan sovereignty and culture amid Italy’s attempts to control their territory. Despite being eventually captured and executed by Italy in 1931, his leadership became a symbol of Libyan national pride and the struggle for independence.
