OLE (Object Linking and Embedding)

Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) is a technology developed by Microsoft that allows different applications to share and manage data. For example, you can embed a chart from Excel into a Word document, allowing you to edit the chart directly within Word. OLE links the two applications, so changes in the Excel chart are automatically updated in the Word document. This integration enables users to create richer documents by combining various types of content, enhancing productivity and collaboration without needing to switch between different software.
