Ohio Bell
Ohio Bell was a telecommunications company that provided landline telephone services in Ohio. Founded in the late 19th century, it was one of the original regional Bell operating companies formed after the breakup of AT&T in 1984. Ohio Bell operated as part of Ameritech, which was later acquired by SBC Communications, and eventually became part of AT&T Inc. Today, the Ohio Bell name is largely historical, but it played a key role in establishing and expanding telephone connectivity across Ohio, serving residential and business customers with reliable landline communication services.
