Office of Economic Opportunity

The Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) was a government agency established in 1964 to fight poverty by creating programs that promoted economic fairness and support for disadvantaged communities. It aimed to improve education, job training, and community development, helping low-income individuals gain skills and opportunities for better lives. The OEO also worked to reduce inequality and promote social mobility. It was a key part of President Lyndon B.
