Off-Broadway
Off-Broadway refers to a category of theatrical productions in New York City that are smaller and more intimate than those traditionally found on Broadway. Off-Broadway shows typically have a more experimental or artistic focus and are performed in venues that seat between 100 and 499 audience members. They often tackle diverse themes and innovative storytelling, sometimes allowing for more creative freedom compared to mainstream Broadway. While they may not have the same budget or star power as Broadway productions, many Off-Broadway shows can gain critical acclaim and even evolve into larger productions or long-running hits.
