Obote (Milton Obote)
Milton Obote was a Ugandan politician who served as the country’s first Prime Minister after independence and later as its second President. He played a key role in Uganda’s independence from British rule in 1962. Obote’s leadership was marked by efforts to unify the country and to implement policies aimed at reducing inequality, but his tenure also faced challenges, including political instability and conflict. His time in power was interrupted by military coups, and he was a prominent figure in Uganda's political history, shaping the nation's early post-independence development and struggles.
