O'Dell's Law

O'Dell's Law states that the amount of general knowledge a person possesses tends to remain constant over time, meaning that as people accumulate new information, they often forget or set aside older information. This highlights the idea that our capacity for knowledge is limited and that we must continually filter what we learn. In essence, to make room for new facts or concepts, we often have to let go of some existing knowledge, ensuring that our understanding evolves without necessarily expanding indefinitely.
