Normative Theory
Normative theory is a type of thinking that focuses on how things should be, rather than how they actually are. It involves setting standards or ideals for behavior, decision-making, or systems, often based on values like fairness, justice, or efficiency. For example, in politics, a normative theory might suggest the best way a government should operate to serve its citizens well. It provides guidance for improving society by proposing what ought to be, rather than just describing what is.
