Norbert of Xanten
Norbert of Xanten (c. 1080–1134) was a German priest and the founder of the Premonstratensian order, which emphasized a community life of prayer, study, and pastoral work. After a transformative experience that led him to abandon a life of wealth, he dedicated himself to the service of God. Norbert's teachings focused on the importance of living a holy life in harmony with others. He was canonized as a saint in 1582 and is celebrated for his commitment to reforming the clergy and promoting spiritual renewal during a time of considerable moral decline in the Church.
