NML Cygni
NML Cygni is a massive, luminous red supergiant star located in the constellation Cygnus, approximately 5,200 light-years from Earth. It is one of the largest and brightest stars visible from Earth, with a diameter around 1,650 times that of the Sun. The star is nearing the end of its life and continues to shed material through strong stellar winds, creating a surrounding nebula rich in dust and gas. NML Cygni's energy output and size make it a key subject of study for understanding the life cycles of the most massive stars.
