
Ngok Dinka
The Ngok Dinka are a subgroup of the Dinka people, primarily residing in the Ngok County of South Sudan's Abyei Area. They have a distinct cultural identity within the Dinka ethnic group, with their own traditional practices and social structures. Historically, the Ngok Dinka have been cattle herders and farmers, and their society is organized around kinship and community leadership. Their territory is strategically significant due to its location and natural resources. The Ngok Dinka's political status has been a central issue in South Sudan’s regional disputes, especially regarding the referendum and claims over the Abyei region.
