Newbery Honor
The Newbery Honor is an award given by the American Library Association to recognize outstanding children's literature in the United States. It is named after John Newbery, a 18th-century publisher known for promoting children's books. While the Newbery Medal is awarded to a single book each year for the best contribution to children's literature, the Newbery Honor recognizes additional titles that are also exceptional but did not win the medal. These honors highlight a range of quality books, encouraging reading and celebrating diverse stories for children.
