New Horizons

New Horizons is a NASA spacecraft that was launched in 2006 to explore Pluto and its moons, as well as other objects in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune. It provides scientists with valuable data about these distant, icy worlds, helping us understand the solar system's formation and evolution. In 2015, it became the first spacecraft to visit Pluto, capturing detailed images and measurements. Continuing its journey, New Horizons now studies smaller, icy bodies in the Kuiper Belt, offering insights into the early solar system and the diversity of objects that exist at the solar system's outer edges.
