Neoantigen vaccines
Neoantigen vaccines are personalized immunotherapy treatments targeting unique mutations in a patient’s cancer cells. These mutations, called neoantigens, are not found in normal cells, making them ideal for training the immune system to recognize and attack the cancer specifically. The vaccine is custom-made using the patient’s tumor genetic information, prompting the immune system—particularly T cells—to seek out and destroy cancer cells carrying these neoantigens. This approach aims to improve treatment specificity and effectiveness while reducing damage to healthy tissue.
