
Nelson Rockefeller
Nelson Rockefeller (1908-1979) was an influential American politician and businessman, known for serving as the 41st Vice President of the United States under President Gerald Ford from 1974 to 1977. Before his vice presidency, he was the Governor of New York for four terms, where he implemented significant social welfare programs and urban development projects. A member of the wealthy Rockefeller family, he was also involved in art and philanthropy. His political stance was generally moderate and progressive, straddling the line between liberal and conservative ideologies during a time of significant social change in America.
