Zheng He was a Chinese explorer and admiral during the Ming Dynasty who led seven large maritime voyages from 1405 to 1433. Using enormous, advanced ships, he traveled across the Indian Ocean, reaching Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa.
