The National Security Guard (NSG) is an elite counter-terrorism unit in India, established in 1984. Its primary role is to conduct anti-terrorist operations, protect individuals from terrorist threats, and respond to situations that require specialized skills, such as hostage rescues and high-stakes situations. The NSG is composed of highly trained personnel from the Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces, and Intelligence Bureau. They are known for their rapid response and tactical expertise, working both independently and in coordination with local law enforcement and security agencies to ensure national security.
