National Farm Labor Union
The National Farm Labor Union (NFLU) was an organization founded in 1950 to advocate for the rights and better working conditions of farm workers in the United States. It aimed to improve wages, job security, and labor protections for agricultural laborers, many of whom faced low pay, long hours, and challenging conditions. The NFLU sought to organize farm workers to give them a collective voice and influence policy changes. Although it eventually declined in influence, it played a role in raising awareness about farm workers' issues and advocating for their fair treatment.
