National Environmental Justice Advisory Council

The National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC) is an advisory group that helps the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) address environmental justice issues. It advises on how to ensure that all communities, especially those that are marginalized or low-income, receive fair treatment in environmental policies and decision-making. The council brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including community leaders, scientists, and advocates, to discuss ways to reduce environmental harm and promote health equity. Its goal is to improve the quality of life for all, particularly for those disproportionately affected by environmental pollution and hazards.
