National Education Goals Panel

The National Education Goals Panel (NEGP) was established in the United States in the early 1990s to help improve educational outcomes for all students. It aimed to set clear, achievable goals for education and assess progress toward those goals. The panel consisted of federal, state, and local education leaders who collaborated to define standards, measure success, and promote effective practices in education. Its work focused on ensuring that all children receive a high-quality education, addressing issues such as student achievement, school readiness, and educational equity across different populations and regions.
