National Digital Newspaper Program
The National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) is an initiative funded by the U.S. government to preserve and make accessible historic newspapers. Managed by the Library of Congress and the National Endowment for the Humanities, the program digitizes newspapers published from 1690 to the present, allowing users to search and explore them online. This effort supports research, education, and historical inquiry by providing free access to primary source materials that document American life, culture, and history through the lens of local news.
