National Conference of Catholic Bishops
The bishops">National Conference of Catholic Bishops (NCCB) is an assembly of Catholic bishops in the United States, established to discuss and address issues relevant to the Church and society. It provides a forum for bishops to collaborate on policies, promote social justice, and ensure consistent teaching of Catholic doctrine. Through formal meetings, publications, and outreach, the NCCB aims to guide the American Catholic community in areas such as moral, ethical, and spiritual matters. In 2001, it merged with the United States Catholic Conference to form the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which continues its mission.
