National Associations of the Deaf
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is a U.S.-based advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the rights, interests, and culture of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. It works to promote equal access to education, employment, communication, and public services through legal advocacy, public awareness, and policy development. The NAD also seeks to ensure that American Sign Language is recognized and respected as a natural language. By representing the deaf community, it aims to foster inclusion, remove barriers, and uphold the civil rights of its members.
