NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is the United States government agency responsible for space exploration, scientific research, and aeronautics technology. Established in 1958, NASA conducts missions to study Earth, planets, stars, and galaxies, as well as develops advanced aircraft and space vehicles. Its goals include expanding human knowledge of space, developing new technologies, and inspiring innovation. NASA operates satellites, robotic missions, and sometimes sends humans into space, like those to the International Space Station or future missions to the Moon and Mars.
