Napoleon III (Lous-Napoleon Bonaparte)
Napoleon III, born Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, was the nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte. He became the first President of France in 1848 and later declared himself Emperor in 1852, establishing the Second French Empire. His rule focused on modernization, economic development, and expanding French influence through military campaigns. While he promoted stability and progress, his authoritarian style also led to repression and eventually his downfall after military defeats, notably in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. His leadership marked a period of significant change for France, blending imperial ambition with efforts to modernize the nation.
