Nalayira Divya Prabandham
The Nalayira Divya Prabandham is a collection of 4,000 Tamil devotional hymns composed by South Indian saints called Alvars, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Written between the 6th and 9th centuries, these poems express deep devotion, love, and surrender to God, emphasizing faith and spiritual devotion. Considered the "Tamil Veda," it is a foundational scripture for the Sri Vaishnava tradition and has significantly influenced Tamil religious culture. The hymns are sung in temples and festivals, fostering a sense of community and spiritual connection among believers.
