Nalanda

Nalanda was an ancient seat of learning in India, founded in the 5th century CE. It became one of the world's first residential universities, attracting thousands of students and scholars from various countries. The institution was renowned for its rigorous studies in subjects like Buddhism, philosophy, mathematics, and medicine. Nalanda's well-structured campus included libraries, monasteries, and lecture halls. It thrived until the 12th century when it was destroyed by invaders.
