Myogenesis
Myogenesis is the biological process through which muscle cells develop and mature. It begins with stem cells called satellite cells, which activate and multiply in response to muscle injury or growth signals. These cells then fuse together to form new muscle fibers, developing the structure needed for muscle function. Throughout this process, the cells differentiate into specialized muscle cells, organize their internal components, and increase in size and strength. Myogenesis is essential for muscle growth, repair, and maintenance, ensuring muscles remain functional and adaptable throughout life.
