Multinational Force and Observers

The Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) is an international organization established in 1981 to oversee the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel following their 1979 peace treaty. Comprised of personnel from various countries, the MFO monitors military activities, ensures compliance with the treaty, and promotes stability in the Sinai Peninsula. The organization operates independently, monitoring borders and conducting patrols to prevent conflicts. Its goal is to maintain peace in the region and support diplomatic efforts between the involved nations through observation and reporting on any violations of the peace accord.
