Mounted Police

Mounted police are law enforcement officers who patrol on horseback. They are often used in urban areas, during events, or in parks, providing visibility and a unique presence. This method of patrolling allows for community engagement and a different perspective on crowd control. Mounted units also benefit from the height of their horses, which helps officers see over crowds and reach people easily. While they perform many of the same duties as regular police, mounted police often focus on public relations, crime prevention, and enhancing safety in busy areas.
