Mount Verona (Antarctica)
Mount Verona is a mountain located in Antarctica’s Queen Maud Mountains. It rises about 2,235 meters (7,333 feet) above sea level. The mountain was named by explorers for its proximity to Verona Glacier. Like much of Antarctica, it is covered in snow and ice year-round. The region is remote and difficult to access, serving primarily for scientific research related to geology and climate studies. Its towering presence contributes to the continent’s rugged, icy landscape and offers insights into the Earth's geological history and glacial processes.
