Mount Stromboli

Mount Stromboli is an active volcano located on the small island of Stromboli in Italy. Known as one of the world's most active volcanoes, it continuously emits ash and lava through regular eruptions called strombolian activity, characterized by explosive bursts of small to moderate lava and rock. This consistent activity has earned it the nickname "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean." Its eruptions occur almost daily, giving the island a dramatic, fiery landscape. Despite its activity, Stromboli's eruptions are generally predictable and less destructive than larger volcanic eruptions, making it a fascinating natural spectacle and a focus for volcanologists studying volcanic behavior.
