Mosby's Raiders

Mosby's Raiders were a group of Confederate soldiers led by Colonel John S. Mosby during the American Civil War. Operating mainly in Virginia, they specialized in quick, hit-and-run attacks, utilizing swift horseback rides to surprise Union forces and then disappear before retaliation. Their tactics disrupted Union supply lines and communication, earning a reputation for daring and mobility. Mosby's Raiders were also known as the "Partisan Rangers" and played a significant role in early guerrilla warfare, challenging Union control and boosting Confederate morale with their unconventional, strategic approach.
