Mordechai Anielewicz
Mordechai Anielewicz was a Jewish leader and tactician during the Holocaust, best known for leading the Jewish resistance in Warsaw, Poland, against the Nazis. As commander of the Jewish Fighting Organization, he organized efforts to resist deportations and Nazi attacks, notably during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943. Anielewicz’s leadership symbolized courage and defiance amid extreme persecution. Tragically, he died during the uprising at age 23, but his actions continue to inspire remembrance of resistance during one of history's darkest periods.
