Mongol Invasion of China

The Mongol Invasion of China occurred during the 13th century, led by Genghis Khan and his successors. It began with the Mongols attacking northern China, eventually conquering the Jin Dynasty in 1234. Under Kublai Khan, the Mongols completed their conquest of the Song Dynasty by 1279, establishing the Yuan Dynasty. This invasion transformed China, integrating it into a vast Mongol Empire that facilitated trade and cultural exchange, but also brought violence and disruption. The Mongol rule in China significantly influenced its history, economy, and administration, marking the first time all of China was unified under foreign control.
