Model of Academic Motivation

The Model of Academic Motivation suggests that students are driven to learn by a combination of factors, including their beliefs about their abilities (self-efficacy), the value they see in the tasks (such as interest or importance), and their expectations of success. It also considers emotional aspects like confidence and anxiety. Essentially, motivation results from how students perceive their capacity to succeed, how meaningful the learning feels to them, and how they manage emotions related to learning. This model helps explain why some students are more motivated than others and how their motivation can be improved.
