Mixture

A mixture is a combination of two or more substances that are physically combined, meaning each substance retains its own properties and they are not chemically bonded. Examples include air (a mix of gases), salad (vegetables and dressing), or trail mix (nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate). Mixtures can be separated into their individual components using physical methods like filtering, sorting, or evaporation. Unlike compounds, mixtures are variable in composition; their parts can be present in different amounts without changing their fundamental nature.
