Mixtec-Zapotec languages

Mixtec and Zapotec are related Indigenous languages spoken in Oaxaca, Mexico, with roots extending back thousands of years. Both belong to the Otomanguean language family and share similarities in grammar and vocabulary, making them part of a larger linguistic group. Despite these connections, they are distinct languages with their own dialects, often differing significantly from each other.
