Minor Breach

A minor breach of contract occurs when one party does not fulfill a small detail of the agreement, but the overall purpose of the contract is still met. For example, if a contractor paints a room the wrong color, but the quality of the work is satisfactory, this would be considered a minor breach. The affected party can seek remedy, such as compensation, but they are still required to honor the contract overall. Generally, minor breaches do not allow the non-breaching party to terminate the contract.
