
Mindful Awareness Research Center
The Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) is a part of UCLA dedicated to studying and teaching mindfulness—practices that help individuals become more present, aware, and less reactive to stress. It conducts scientific research on the benefits of mindfulness for mental and physical health and offers classes, meditation sessions, and resources to the public. By combining research with practical training, MARC aims to improve well-being and quality of life through accessible mindfulness practices rooted in scientific understanding.
