Milwaukee Project
The Milwaukee Project was an experimental program in the 1960s aimed at improving intellectual development in children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It provided intensive early education, parental support, and cognitive training to young children at risk of developmental delays. The goal was to see if early intervention could significantly boost their IQ and future success. Results showed remarkable cognitive improvements, but many children faced ongoing challenges once the program ended. The project highlighted the importance of early developmental support and influenced educational policies emphasizing early childhood intervention.
