Millerite movement

The Millerite movement was a religious movement in the early 19th century led by William Miller, who predicted that Jesus Christ would return to Earth around 1844. His interpretations of biblical prophecy attracted many followers, creating a widespread expectation of the imminent Second Coming. When the predicted event did not occur, it became known as the "Great Disappointment." Despite this, the movement influenced the development of Seventh-day Adventism and inspired ongoing interest in biblical prophecy and end-times theology.
