Military Regimes

Military regimes are governments led by the armed forces rather than elected civilians. When a military regime takes power, typically through a coup or force, the military controls political decision-making and governance, often suspending or limiting democratic processes. Such regimes may justify their rule as necessary for stability or order but usually restrict civil liberties and political freedoms. While some military governments are temporary, aiming to restore democracy afterward, others become long-term authorities, impacting a country's political stability and development.
