Microsoft Silverlight
Microsoft Silverlight was a development framework used for building rich internet applications, similar to Adobe Flash. It allowed developers to create interactive web content, such as animations, graphics, and multimedia applications that could run in web browsers. Introduced in 2007, Silverlight enabled users to experience high-quality media and rich user interfaces. However, due to the rise of HTML5 and changing web standards, Microsoft discontinued Silverlight support in 2021, leading to a gradual decline in its use in favor of more modern technologies that are widely supported across different devices and platforms.
