Michigan legislature
The Michigan Legislature is the state's lawmaking body, composed of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House has 110 members, while the Senate has 38 members. Both chambers meet in the state capitol, Lansing, to discuss, propose, and vote on laws affecting Michigan. Legislators represent different districts across the state and work on various issues, such as education, healthcare, transportation, and public safety. The Governor also plays a role in this process by signing bills into law or vetoing them. Together, they shape policies that impact the lives of Michigan residents.
