Measurement problem

The measurement problem in quantum mechanics refers to the question of how and when quantum systems transition from being in multiple possible states (superpositions) to a single, definite state upon measurement. In simple terms, when we observe a quantum particle, we seem to force it to 'choose' a specific outcome from many possibilities. This creates a dilemma: are these outcomes predetermined, or does the act of measurement play a crucial role in shaping reality? This unresolved issue raises fundamental questions about the nature of reality and the role of the observer in the universe.
