McClelland's Needs Theory
McClelland's Needs Theory suggests that individuals are motivated by three primary needs: achievement (desire to excel and accomplish goals), affiliation (desire for friendly relationships and social connections), and power (desire to influence and control others). People tend to have different levels of these needs, which shape their behavior and motivation at work and in life. Understanding these needs helps organizations and leaders create environments that align with individuals’ motivations, ultimately improving performance and job satisfaction.
