Maximal strength

Maximal strength refers to the greatest amount of force your muscles can produce in a single effort. It’s what you experience when you lift the heaviest weight you can manage once or perform a maximal push or pull. This level of strength is important for activities requiring powerful movements and is developed through training that involves lifting heavy weights with low repetitions. Maximal strength is different from muscular endurance or speed; it specifically measures how strongly your muscles can contract against resistance at their fullest capacity.
